DJ Milkman Dan, the morning fixture at Radio 1190 (the university-ran radio station in the Denver / Boulder area) is, without much explanation, leaving the air.

His radio show, The Morning Delivery has been a daily fixture for me and many other Colorado residents. Needless to say we’re all very sad to see him go!

Milkman Dan is someone I consider a definitive music geek. His contests were geeky, his commentary was geeky, and man, that laugh was geeky.

As my girlfriend so bluntly put it last night, “without Milkman Dan, Radio 1190 has the potential of becoming just another annoying college radio station.” Hopefully that isn’t the case. Nonetheless, best of luck to you Milkman Dan!
