What do Open Source puritans eat?

Arguments for Open Source puritanism are often along the lines of boycotting etc, to force companies to release their source. Maybe it is time that these same people start insisting for recipes of their meals (and *any* ingredients that go into the dish) before eating in a restaurant, or petitioning KFC for the seasoning’s formula to be released. Maybe if we did this, our meat wouldn’t be hormonal cocktails, our packaged food would not contain questionable preservatives and our health would be, in general, a lot better.
